The inaugural German British Conference at Oxford takes place from 27 to 29 November 2026 at the University of Oxford, hosted mainly at Saïd Business School. Ten years after the Brexit referendum, it brings together leaders from politics, diplomacy, business, law and science to discuss the future of German-British relations, with a focus on diplomacy, defence and deep tech. Six streams cover German and British politics, defence and diplomacy, law, artificial intelligence, and innovation and startups. Over three days, around 450 delegates can expect 30+ panels, keynotes and private sessions. Confirmed speakers include Lord Hague, Ambassadors Susanne Baumann and Andrew Mitchell, Özlem Türeci (BioNTech) and Joe Kaeser.

On 17 and 18 March 2027, the University of Cambridge and the Technical University of Munich host a two-day symposium in Cambridge, UK, under the theme “From Innovation Ecosystem Research to Innovation Ecosystem Practice”. The aim is to turn innovation ecosystem research into practical frameworks, tools and collaborations that help leaders design, govern and scale business and regional innovation ecosystems. Around 100 curated participants from academia, startups, corporates, investors and policy come together for keynotes, hands-on workshops, roundtables and structured networking. Planned outcomes include a joint white paper, practical tools and a lasting community.
